1966 Ford Fairlane

Bought this when i was 15 years old, and have been working on it ever since.  Due to never having enough money to devote to the car, its been a long process to get it exactly how i want, but we're getting there.

Has a 302 ci engine, C4 transmission, 8.8 rear end, with 2.73 gears.

Currently has a spring time yellow paint job, but its getting old so i began working on painting it, its a lot harder and time consuming than i originally thought, haha.  I painted the hood and deck lid with dupli-color's new DIY paint, not entirely impressed with it, so I will be respraying it all over again.

I put 18'' chrome wheels on:

They ride so nice.  Also have new P-S-T front suspension installed:

-Shocks-Tie rod ends-1 inch sway bar-coil springs- lower control arms-all new bushings.

Put a rebuilt steering box in.  Even though its not  power steering, drives nice.

When i bought the car it had a tired 289, so i decided to grab a 302 out of a Mercury Mountaineer.  I worked at a junk yard so i picked it up for about 100 bucks, then sold the GT-40P intake for about 250 on ebay, score! Other mods include:

-Edlebrock performer RPM air gap intake

-Stock GT-40P cylinder heads

-MAC shorty Headers

-Ford Racing F cam shaft (nice lumpy idle)

-MSD 6A ignition and distributor

-Ford Racing spark plug wires

-Aluminum Radiator and electric fan

-Holley Fuel Pump

-Edlebrock 600cfm Carb

-Flowmaster exhaust

-K&N Air Filter

The Fairlane originally had a black vinyl bench seat, which was pretty beat up.  I swapped it out for some BMW M3 seats.

The rear seat didn't fit exactly, so i had to make some filler pieces out of some leather I bough from some fabric store, and some wood

Other than that the interior is pretty stock, I need to buy a new dash because mine is cracked and worn.  Also, i put an Alpine deck in where the old car radio is, and put some new speakers in, better than the original 8 watt speaker
